Did you know that sleep disorders are one of the most common reasons individuals report using cannabis for medicinal purposes, alongside chronic pain and anxiety? One systematic review reported that although there is insufficient clinical data of cannabinoids therapies for treating sleep disorders, promising preclinical evidence and preliminary clinical trials calls for future trials of cannabinoid therapies in individuals with sleep apnea, insomnia, post-traumatic stress disorder-related nightmares, restless legs syndrome, rapid eye movement sleep behaviour disorder, and narcolepsy.
