An eight-week double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial assessed the effect of CBD-rich cannabis oil in relieving symptoms of Crohn’s disease. Crohn's disease is a type of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) which causes inflammation of the digestive tract and leads to abdominal pain, severe diarrhea, fatigue, weight loss and malnutrition. The results of this clinical trial showed that CBD-rich cannabis treatment induced significant clinical and Quality of Life (QOL) improvement without significant changes in inflammatory parameters or endoscopic scores.
